Why should you study at Kingdom Keys College?
Kingdom Keys was founded by Maggie Nkwe in 2014 as a response to the education crisis in South Africa. Kingdom Keys College HEADOFFICE is based in Mahwelereng in the town of Mokopane in Limpopo. Our goal is to invest in the future of South Africa by developing our young people and giving them the necessary strong educational foundation in order to reach their desire.
WE WANTED TO CREATE A GOOD SCHOOL WHICH WOULD BE GEOGRAPHICALLY AND FINANCIALLY ACCESSIBLE FOR ALL PARENTS AND LEARNERS.
The current schooling system is a form of adoption. Parents give their children away – at their most formative years, to a group of strangers. Parents accept a promise that the government knows better how to raise their children and educate them – better than the parents.
AS A PARENT YOU MUST MAKE SURE THAT YOUR CHILD RECEIVES A FULL-TIME EDUCATION FROM THE AGE OF 5, BUT YOU DO NOT HAVE TO FOLLOW THE NATIONAL CURRICULUM. Advances in digital learning and availability of resources make our learning programme with Kingdom Keys College more effective than ever.
Our Digital Learning Programme:
- Can rectify reading problems
- Can rectify speech problems
- Can rectify mathematical problems
- Addresses short span of attention
- Supports parents who are dedicated to teaching their children so that they can receive the best education possible
- Eradicates boredom and challenges children
PLEASE NOTE: OUR DIGITAL LEARNING PROGRAMME DOES NOT RECTIFY BEHAVIOURAL PROBLEMS.
OUR SCHOOL OFFERS THE FOLLOWING::
- Person-to-person (one on one) tuition
- A safe learning environment
- Better education at home
- The opportunity to work for knowledge instead of grades
- Field trips, excursions and a matric farewell
Our matric results for the IEB NSC examinations are published in major newspapers and learners will receive their certificates as soon as we receive them from uMalusi.
OUR SCHOOL IS IDEAL FOR:
- Anyone who wishes to obtain the National Senior Certificate in the comfort of their own home.
- If you are over 18 – you can complete your Gr10 and Gr11 in ONE YEAR; and enrol for Gr12 in the second year
- Parents who would like to keep away their children from the negative influences prevalent in our school grounds, e.g. drugs, etc.
- Parents who want their children to complete their SBA’s (School Based Assessments) in the comfort of their own home
- Parents whose children are hyperactive and not behaving according to the norm, but otherwise have good intellect, from being unfairly labelled as needing special education.
- Parents who travel or can change jobs at any time during the course of the year.
- Children who could not get into the desired school.
- Pregnant or sick children who still wish to continue with their schooling.
- Learners with good intellect who are refused by normal stream schools (physically challenged, deformed, etc).
- Learners who would like to pursue their passions fulltime (modelling, singing, art, etc).
- Parents who want their children to think independently, to develop character/morality and well- rounded personalities
REASONS WHY WE WERE ENCOURAGED TO ESTABLISH THIS SCHOOL:
- The deteriorating standard of some independent boarding schools
- Independent schools who claim to provide good quality education, but instead charge higher fees and fail to provide the desired quality of education. The end result – a poor or low matric pass rate.
- The standard of some government schools that have deteriorated to such an extent that one cannot imagine sending one’s children for studies.
- The fact that some schools have adopted the tendencies of demi-gods, and tend to maltreat the parents of their learners
- In classroom factors such as resources, leadership and management.
- Out of school factors such as parental involvement and socio economic factors. Parents play a huge role, but often parents do not have the knowledge of how they can help their children
- Outside disruptions to schooling – stay aways, strikes, public transport violence, etc.
- To offer individual attention to the learners who need it whilst at the same time allows more advanced learners to advance and not be delayed.
- Changing of curricula without proper consultation, training and communication with teachers has led to massive demoralization and disillusionment among teachers and a negative and worsening perception of the teaching profession.
- ‘Sheltered employment’ of teachers. Eroded authority of teachers. Even teachers will concur with me when I say that the children they teach are cruel to each other, they lack compassion for misfortune; they laugh at weakness; and they have contempt for people whose need for help shows too plainly.
- Despite the huge spending and many interventions which were made by government over the past 20 years – the schooling system remains largely unchanged.
- According to statistics teacher absenteeism amounts to 1 month per annum, compromising your child’s learning.
