Why study at Kingdom Keys College?

Kingdom Keys was founded by Maggie Nkwe in 2014 as a response to the education crisis in South Africa. Kingdom Keys is based in Mahwelereng in the town of Mokopane in Limpopo. Our goal is to invest in the future of South Africa by developing our young people and giving them the necessary strong educational foundation. We were encouraged to establish this school by:

1. The deteriorating standard of some independent boarding schools
2. Independent schools who claim to provide good quality education, but instead charge higher fees and fail to provide the desired quality of education. The end result – a poor or low matric pass rate.
3. The standard of some government schools that have deteriorated to such an extent that one cannot imagine sending one’s children for studies.
4. The fact that some schools have adopted the tendencies of demi-gods, and tend to maltreat parents of their learners

Proudly IEB

Kingdom Keys has registered with the Independent Examinations Board (IEB) known for their high educational standards and outstanding commitment to quality assessment. This assures you of quality assessment in accordance with policy. This means that you can trust us to assist your child towards a fully accredited National Senior Certificate. This NSC is a 130 credit certificate at Level 4 on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF), and is intended to provide you with access to further education.

Student to Teacher Ratio

In order to give the best possible individual attention to our learners all our classes are limited to only 10 students per class. For this reason it is imperative to reserve a seat for your child timeously.

Curriculum Grade R to 12 (NSC)

We offer a comprehensive curriculum for Grade R which establishes a firm academic foundation, right through to an authentic National Senior Certificate. Kingdom Keys offers a CAPS (Curriculum Assessment Policy Statement) aligned curriculum and assessment to all grades. Subject combination lists for Grades 9, 10, 11 and 12 are available upon request.

Kingdom Keys College offers extra academic lessons in Mathematics and Afrikaans as part of the standard extracurricular timetable. There are no additional costs for these lessons. Our teachers are willing and available to assist your child in every area of learning. Encourage your child to ask subject teachers for assistance. Our teachers are happy to oblige any student who displays willingness to improve his or her results.

Curriculum

Please note that Creative Arts, Physical Education, Personal well-being are also included. All new students will be interviewed by the Principal or her representative before registration.

Social Activities

Kingdom Keys College has an annual matric farewell. We also host tours and camps, which are a great deal of fun for learners…! A school tuckshop is available.

Bursary Opportunities

Bursaries and Scholarships are available in house to a limited number of students annually.

Boarding School

Hostel accommodation is available. Due to limited space parents are invited to reserve hostel accommodation well in advance. Hostel accommodation is compulsory for learners who do not reside in Mokopane. Toiletories are included in the Hostel Fees. Menu will be available upon registration.

The application fee is R1000 for all grades. Please note that the application fee is not refundable. Fees must be settled at the end of each month.

Registration

Grades R – 12 registrations will take place from January 2016.

Uniform

Girls and Boys uniforms; and school bags can be purchased from the School’s uniform Shop.

Stationery

Textbooks and stationery can be purchased from the School’s bookshop. Please make sure that you collect the list of stationery requirements upon registration.
